DEAL WITH IT "World Coming Down" (Dead & Gone)
Review by Jordan A. Baker

The UK's DEAL WITH IT are a metallic hardcore band that would feel right at home with the kind of music that's presently coming out of labels like Bridge Nine, 1917, Rock Vegas, and so forth. Full of attitude and ragin' anger, the band's unrelenting maelstrom is their most pressing trait - think RIGHTEOUS JAMS meets DEATH BEFORE
DISHONOR. World Coming Down is an exercise in economy, featuring nine songs in roughly 16 minutes. Once DEAL WITH IT hit the swtich on the title track opener "W.C.D.," the release rarely shifts into a lower gear. Between furiuos breakdowns, two-step dance parts ("Goodbye Cruel World" being the most evolved of the lot), and some stellar gang vocals, the group fashions itself as seasoned and serious. As this is the CD version of the 7" by the same name, it includes both the 5 song EP and the band's four song 2006 demo. The recording quality of the demo material is harsh and cumbersome, but the songs are no less hard-hitting, especially "Flowers In The Attic" with its bowel-quaking chugginess. DEAL WITH IT's new material is a real shot in the arm, and hopefully they'll be more from the band in the near future.
