Florida hardcore label Dead Truth Recordings will be releasing a new four song 7″ EP titled Threads from straight-edge vegan hardcore dudes KINGDOM. The group has previously put out several EPs as well as a full-length on Eulogy. A release date has yet to be disclosed.

New three song EP from this Boston area melodic punk/hardcore band. “Turn Your Back” has been raging out of my speakers for the past 20 minutes. GREAT LAKES recorded the songs with Jay Maas and physical copies are available from the band’s upcoming shows.

BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME vocalist Tommy Rogers will front Tacoma metal maniacs OWEN HART for a special, one-time-only, PANTERA cover set, January 8 at El Corazon in Seattle. The BTBAM-Owen Hart collaboration is part of a free benefit show with proceeds going to Rosie McPherson, mother of the late Brian Redman (3 INCHES OF BLOOD, TRIAL.)

Owen Hart guitarist Tony Wolfe says it was a no-brainer when the organizer of the show approached the band about the collaboration: “We cover Pantera all the time.”

Standouts of the Northwest scene, Owen Hart delivers pure metal with the vitality of a DIY grindcore band, earning such tags as “SLAYER meets DROPDEAD” and “PANTERA meets PIGDESTROYER.” Owen Hart’s debut full-length, Earth Control, hits stores January 18 on Vitriol Records, the label founded by Jason Schmidt of GRAF ORLOCK.

Owen Hart also have two tracks on the recent “This Comp Kills Fascists, Vol. 2″ compilation on Relapse Records, curated by Scott Hull of Pig Destroyer (both of which can be streamed below).
