ADAMANTIUM “When it rains, it pours”

With some of the quietest packaging, ADAMANTIUM unleash earthquakingly heavy metalcore once the slab of plastic hits the laser. Sometimes the music becomes so powerful, it is hard to comprehend the very nature of such blasting – but fear not, ADAMANTIUM do it in such a tight way, mental craters are expected. The exceptional sound is matched with equally devastating lyrics and themes. This is one dark, dreary, and downright, demonic album. This is their second full length on Indecision, and it is pretty different from the first album, markedly so in the slightly melodic duel vocal duties found on a few tracks that add a peculiar emocore edge to it all. My favorite part of this disc has to include the thunderous double bass pedal blasts that often finish a song, bringing it to a roaring end, sending chills all the way around. Whereas I often find the necessity for bands to have strong hooks in their songs, ADAMANTIUM accomplish their feats of strength in the intensity and eerie ambiance of their music. Not for the weak of heart, but strongly recommended for those who love crushing metalcore.
